My best friend and I are exploring the possibility of getting some milsurp headsets (such as MSA Sordin or 3M Peltor Comtacs) and rigging up a radio so we can talk while shooting. From my limited research, it looks like the weak link in setting this up is getting a push to talk button/cord that will link a military headset to a civilian radio. Hello gents. MSA Sordin Supreme Pro X for me with upgraded gels. to my Avon FM53 through an Atlantic Signal Comms Cable Kit. I have a set of Sordins and they were a huge step up over my previous empty 5.56 brass setup. on a helmet with rail-mounted comms that utilize the OEM rail mount assembly. (Sordin Arc Rail Adapter) systems for use on MSA/Sordin-based headsets.
